Maui TechOhana is a program organized by a partnership
between the Maui
Economic Development Board, Inc., and the
Maui Office of the Hawaii
Small Business Development Network.
The meetings provide an informal networking opportunity
open to anyone interested in Maui's technology
industry. Events include a short presentation
on a relevant topic in business or technology,
followed by the opportunity to talk with others
with similar professional interests.
Our presenter on Wednesday, August 6, will Ned Davis, PhD. Ned leads the engineering efforts at CrossFiber – a Maui-based tech company that has developed a unique optical switching technology for use in data and telecommunications networks. Traditionally, optical signals must be moved back to copper at the switch. CrossFiber’s technology allows the signal to transit the switch as an optical signal. Ned will tell us much more about this interesting technology, and answer questions at the August meeting of Maui TechOhana.
